Who Will Be Millionaire Interview 500?

We’re getting very close to a major milestone on ESI Money.

I now have 495 Millionaire Interviews completed, which means interview #500 is right around the corner.

Since 500 is a pretty significant number, I don’t want to simply publish whichever interview happens to come next. Instead, I’m going to pick one that I think is especially compelling, unusual, impressive, or otherwise interesting enough to deserve the #500 spot. I’ll ask a few trusted people to help me choose the best option.

So if you’re a millionaire and you’ve ever considered doing a Millionaire Interview, now would be a very good time to submit one.

I’m not necessarily looking for the person with the highest net worth. An interesting story could come in all sorts of forms. Maybe you retired very early, built a successful business, became wealthy on a relatively modest income, overcame some major financial setbacks, took an unusual path to financial independence, or simply have a story that’s different from what we’ve heard before.

And even if you don’t think your story is unusual, don’t let that stop you.

Some of my favorite interviews are from people who basically say, “I didn’t do anything special. I earned a good income, saved a lot of it, invested consistently, and did that for 20 or 30 years.”

Of course, that’s pretty much the entire ESI philosophy. 🙂

Those stories are valuable because readers can see themselves in them. They show that becoming wealthy doesn’t require winning the lottery, starting the next Amazon, or making one incredible investment. Most of the time, it comes down to doing a lot of fairly simple things well for a long period of time.

There’s Another Reason to Act Soon

As I explained in Help Us Reach 500 Millionaire Interviews, anyone who completes a Millionaire Interview can currently become a mentor in the Millionaire Money Mentors (MMM) forums for free, as long as they agree to the participation requirements.

That means contributing regularly to the forums and helping other members with your experience and knowledge. The details are in the post linked above.

It’s a pretty good deal if MMM is something you’d enjoy being part of. You get access to a community of financially successful people, and in return you contribute some of what you’ve learned along the way.

But there’s one important catch:

I will likely suspend the free mentor offer once we reach 500 Millionaire Interviews.

I haven’t made a final decision yet, but we already have a large group of mentors, so reaching 500 seems like a natural point to reconsider whether the offer should continue.

So if you’ve thought about doing an interview and becoming an MMM mentor, I wouldn’t put it off much longer. We’re only five interviews away.
